• Wishing everyone a Happy Christmas

“ALWAYS REMEMBER : The greatest gift you ever own is not found in the shops or under your Christmas tree. It is found in the hearts of your family and your true friends.” ~UNKNOWN

I had a conversation yesterday, which leads me to write the following.

Love is not something that can be measured. It is a state of being. If we are feeling angry and picking arguments with our partner because we do not think that they love us as much as we love them, we are creating the situation that we most fear - rejection. We should consider whether our behaviour and our words are coming from LOVE or FEAR. It is not a competition.

I have spoken about the five languages of love before. We can experience love in different ways, if your partner is not expressing their love in the way that you feel it, it would be a good idea to have a conversation about each of you feel and believe that you are expressing love.

The five languages are words of affirmation, acts of service, quality time, physical touch and receiving gifts.

Christmas is a time to give and receive gifts, but maybe a time to consider whether your partner would appreciate confirmation through one of the other love languages too.

I wish everyone happy times and that the year ahead will be filled with health and happiness and lots of LOVE.
